Hey! Came back from bintan today.
The place where time jus stops.
Reli nice n tranquil.
Had a fun time dere.
Did kayaking on the first day.
Half of my grp walked to the meeting point whr the other half
kayaked dere.
After tat we switch places.
2 of my frens n i sat on one kayak.
We could not control it at first n kept bumping into trees.
We even capsized at the starting....=P
After tat my frens switched places wif other ppl n
one of the indonesian helpers sat wif me.
So we kayaked back to the beach.
It was real tiring!
After the activities, we met together n played some games b4 dinner.
Ate dinner at about 7 n tat ended the first day.
The next morning wen i woke up i saw tat there was low tide n
the water had receded alot- about 1 km.
We could practically walk to the next island!!
Had breakfast n den procceded to a fishing village.
We saw the lifestyle of the villagers dere.
They lived such simple lives!
Many of the children were running about n playing.
The adults were chatting like they had all the time in their
hands. This is sumthing tat the ppl in singapore dun have
bcos of our rushing n time-packed lifestyle.
After tat we wen back on the boat n wen for boomnetting(tis is wad i think how its spelled=P) They let down a net into the sea n we jumped frm the boat
into the net. It didnt look high frm the bottom but wen u r about to jump,
its a total different experience altogether!
Den we came back for lunch.
Felt real hungey after all the morning activities.
After lunch we wen for the flying fox.
Had to jump frm a 4.5 storey high platform all the way to the sea.
Real scary at the starting but felt great after tat.
Den we wen back to the beach n had a competetion
to see which grp could finish climbing the coconut tree
the fastest.
N of course my grp won! yaye!!
Again we played games till dinner.
After tat we had a campfire.
All the grps had to do a performance.
After tat all the vocal members dere wen to do
a performance. We performed 'lion sleeps tonight'
The loola workers oso sang n it was real nice.
After tat we had the night to ourselves.
Had breakfast tis morning n had free time till about 10.45
cos we had to pack up by den.
After tat we took a grp pic n spent 2-3 mins individually to end the camp
by ourselves. I took some pics of the area n im gonna put dem on friendster.
So tats about it.
One thing i learnt frm tis camp is tat we
gotta appreciate wad we have n be grateful n contented
cos we a so much better off den the ppl dere!
